“Personal style is about having a sense of yourself and what you believe in every day”
My love of fashion and styling started from an early age when I curiously peaked into my mother’s closet during a game of hide and seek, one cold wet winter’s day. What I discovered whilst trying to hide in that closet were beautiful flowing gowns. In my childlike mind, they seemed to sparkle in the darkness of the closet, a kaleidoscope of colours, and fabrics that were soft to the touch.
That curiosity sparked an interest in fashion and putting pieces together (although I didn’t know it then, it was called styling). Fortunately for me, my mother graciously indulged me in discovering my creativity.
With a career that has spanned across the fashion industry, media, magazine publishing and event management, in Australia and New Zealand, I have never strayed far from styling family, friends, and colleagues.
From those very happy beginnings, I have now personally styled many women and men over the years.
As my love of fashion and styling continued to grow, I decided to take a “leap of faith” and start my new career in fashion and personal styling.
I’ve now taken it two steps further by obtaining a Diploma as a Personal Stylist from the Australian College of Professional Styling, and I am also a certified stylist with the Professional Styling Academy. This has now led me to starting a new career in fashion and personal styling, and it seemed only fitting that as I was starting a new chapter in my life, I would call my new styling business, Style Chapter.
I welcome you to join me on this journey, and I sincerely hope you enjoy our styling concepts and ideas, and to think of fashion and style as if there is no box!
